If I were Sabrina the Teenage Witch…
Listen, I know you’re probably judging me because I’m posting about ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ but I don’t care. That show was funny and that’s all there is to it. Not to mention for people around my age, it was a long standby of our TGIF heritage, and I merely give it the respect it deserves in this regard. Regardless, if you’re a Sabrina fan like me, I’m sure you recall the Episode 5 in Season 1, “A Halloween Story,” in which Sabrina, our magical heroine, is forced to attend a family event on Halloween, forcing her to miss Harvey’s super awesome party. Needless to say, she wants to go to Harvey’s party considering she has the hots for him. She finds a spell that lets her clone herself so that she herself can go to the family event, sending the clone to Harvey’s party. The only catch is the clone can only say three phrases of Sabrina’s choosing. She chooses “That is so true,” “I’d love to,” and “Mr. Poole can be so annoying.” Every time I see this episode, I think about how that would pretty much totally work at a sophomore High School party.
Today, I thought about what if I currently did something similar in college? What would be my phrases? Well, they would definitely be:
- I’m so wasted.
- You look hot!
- No, I totally know what you’re saying.
Don’t you think those would completely work? I do.
So I know what you’re thinking. “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” WAS a fantastic show! I wonder what that bright little star Melissa Joan Hart of ‘Clarissa Explains it All’ fame is today!” Well, I’m glad you asked.
Bleak, eh? Notice her right googly-eye. I also recently saw a “Law and Order: SVU” in which she was a teacher molesting her students. Gross. Luckily, her portrayals of Clarissa and Sabrina will always outshine the other things she’s done, except for that.. unfortunate.. last season of “Sabrina…” I mean what were they thinking?
